Glutathione is the most powerful antioxidant that occurs naturally in the body. It protects the cell nuclei against premature aging due to free radical damage, it helps detoxify the cells and it protects the cells against the free radicals that cause pigmentation. The melanin level decreases, causing pigment spots to slowly fade. In addition, glutathione strengthens the effect of a number of other important antioxidants (including vitamin C).

Glycolic acid removes dead skin cells, brightening and evening out the complexion and lightening and fading pigmentation. The exfoliating effect also ensures that pigment accumulated on the skin surface is broken down. In addition, glycolic acid helps to discolour the pigment. Glycolic acid is particularly effective in reducing melasma.

Kojic acid has a preventive, strongly inhibiting effect on melanin production, because it suppresses tyrosinase activity. It thus helps to prevent pigment formation, even when exposed to the sun. Various studies have shown that the depigmenting effect of kojic acid is equivalent to applying sun protection (Mishima, Nair and Tramposch et al.) and that it has a beneficial effect on melasma (Mishima Y 1987, Nakayama H et al 1981 and 1982 and Minami K. 1982). Kojic acid has an optimal skin tolerance and is not toxic to the cells, which is the case with other pigment inhibitors. It is not only effective for pigment spots and their prevention, but also gives the skin as a whole a more even, fresher complexion.

Ascorbic acid is the only form of vitamin C that occurs naturally in the skin. It is therefore immediately recognized and absorbed by the skin. In addition, it is the most stable form of vitamin C. These ampoules contain freeze-dried vitamin C, which ensures that the vitamin C remains stable in the skin for a long time. Ascorbic acid is very effective in reducing and fading hyperpigmentation due to UV (age spots, sun damage, freckles) and difficult to treat discolorations due to hormones and inflammatory reactions (e.g. scars).
